I always take time off during the holiday break. It is time to recalibrate my energy, reconnect with my own spirit, and take inventory of my life—not so much in a material sense, although some years that happens, but rather in the sense of looking at my actions and taking note of what enlivens me vs. what does not.

This year, after enjoying time with family and friends, I went into silence for several days. I slept in, let my creativity run wild, and contemplated life. After one of the most intense years of service I’ve had so far, I realized some changes were in order so I can keep going and serving. I gave the challenge to God to find me more time and more balance.

Meditating in the ice tub one day, the answer appeared as obvious as could be. It is time for me, after 29 years of answering hundreds to thousands of emails a week personally, to stop answering personal questions in emails. I love you all so much! I love hearing from you. But over the years, I have slid into answering a question here and a question there until I realized in December that I was taking 2-3 hours a day to answer emails, and that is more than I can honestly do while staying healthy.  So from now on I’ll no longer be answering personal questions or doing psychic check-ins in emails. I don’t have the bandwidth to handle the volume. I will continue to answer questions about appointments, classes, or products, and of course, I will always pray and send energy.

This will give me time to catch up on all of life’s logistics that have fallen by the wayside. It will give me time to do what many of you have requested—to create yearly compilations of these angel messages. It will allow me to spend more time connecting with loved ones who are not going to be on this planet forever. Whether they are here for months or years, every interaction with them is precious, and I do not want to take a second for granted. Even thinking about this change has enlivened me. I didn’t realize how much I needed to reclaim a little time in my life and regain the delicate balance needed to do all I do.

We all have things that we once loved that no longer work for us. We all have things we want to do. And while it might seem impossible to figure out how to do more of what you love and less of what you don’t, the Divine is always up for the challenge. There is always a solution if you are willing to “delegate up.” As the angels remind me often, “The creator of universes can help you figure out your life.”

So, it is with even more joy in my heart that I step into the new year. I actually made a few resolutions that are simple but meaningful to me. I’m going to drink a pitcher of water a day. I’m going to sleep more than 3 hours a night! I’m going to create a compilation of angel messages for 2024 and get started on one for 2025. I’m going to spend time with loved ones, and I’m going to allow a little more time for creativity. I don’t know how I will manage everything while working full time, doing the newsletters, and all else I do, but I’m giving that challenge to higher power and trust it will be resolved.

We can all add more life to our lives. We can all look at where we feel enlivened and where we don’t. And with the help of our angels and the Creator, we can all make changes to get back into a more glorious flow of love.

Here are a few pointers to help you start the new year off with a greater flow of love

1.  Make One Small Positive Change

The reason most resolutions don’t last is that they’re too big. The goals are too lofty, unrealistic, or hard to achieve. It is better to start with small, simple changes.

Perhaps that junk drawer in the kitchen has driven you nuts for years. Why not take a few hours to clean it out and organize it?  You won’t get your whole house cleaned out and organized in a day, but starting with the small things that have an impact will add life to your life and give you incentive to keep going.  Next week, maybe you’ll clean out another drawer of fix a leaky faucet.

Perhaps you have a habit of worrying about everything. You can put little messages up around the house that say, “Pray instead of worry.” You can resolve to turn three worries into prayers every day.

Perhaps you want to get healthier. What one small thing can you change? Maybe you add one flavorful healthy meal a week. Maybe you get some tea you like or make flavored water if you need an incentive to drink more.  Maybe you resolve to try one new food a week to discover new tastes that delight you.

Perhaps you want to be more abundant. Can you get a little inexpensive journal and “give thanks” for the day ahead before it unfolds, or “count your blessings” every night?

Perhaps you want a greater spiritual connection. Can you take one minute a day to sit, breathe, and receive? Or one minute to stand and appreciate the beauty of nature? Or one minute to pray?

We are more likely to make changes in our life if we make small ones that feel good regularly than if we create huge, unrealistic goals that make us give up before we start.

2. Give up One Thing You no Longer Enjoy

If we’re honest, we all have habits, situations, and stuff that no longer serves us. Whether mental, physical, or emotional, we have often practiced things for years that don’t add to our joy.  Instead we can practice finding the joy of giving things up.

Perhaps you promise yourself to get rid of one item a week from your house that you no longer use or enjoy.

Perhaps you question one story you have told yourself for years to see if you really want to keep telling it.

Maybe you “try on” one new belief in place of one that doesn’t make you feel good.

It might be time to cut back on some activity that no longer adds life to your life.

Whatever you do, question why you do things you don’t enjoy, think about things that don’t make you happy, and dwell on things that inspire unpleasant emotions. Let go of one small thing each week or each month, and watch your energy flow more easily as a result.

3. Take Time to Feel Your Desired Future

Instead of jumping into motion when you have a challenge, sit with your angels. Breathe. Receive. Imagine the best possible outcome and how it would feel. Then, give your challenges to the Divine and find a way to add a little more love to your day. Trust, not because you have evidence, but because you choose to trust a love bigger than you can imagine.

Settling for less than happy seems to be the norm for so many. That is not how we were designed to live. It is the rare person who can make huge changes in life all at once. However, we can all make smaller, simple changes that add more life to our lives. We can all make simple changes to disengage from those soul-sapping activities or thoughts that drag us down. We can all sit and tune into our desired realities and delegate up.

This year, as I make some changes, I know it will be an adjustment for both me and many whom I’ve assisted for free for years. However, as a result, I will keep going strong, standing in a light that I hope will be contagious as we all strive to stay connected, inspired, and uplifted, no matter what our world is doing.

I love you all and wish you a 2025 in which you, too, can feel more infinitely alive.
