My dear friends, we love you so very much,
Play a little game with us. Pretend for a moment that you are the queen or king of a kingdom. Pretend that you have all the wealth you could possibly need. Pretend you have access to every resource you could imagine. Pretend you have the ability to answer any question you can ask. You can take trips anytime you wish. You can have delicious meals prepared for you. You can hire the best help in all the land. You have the best healthcare, the best home, and the best spiritual support. You want for nothing in the material sense.
Now ask yourself, “What would I want next?”
The answer is almost certainly simple and human: peace, freedom, love, connection…
There is a set of qualities that each of you, beneath all other desires, wishes to experience while on this earth. You want to feel the power of your spirit. You want to experience being the creator of your own destiny. You want to express yourself and be acknowledged. You want to feel good about who you are. You want to feel free, peaceful, and connected to the love from which you were made.
You experience these things in many ways. For some of you, money buys freedom. For others, connection comes more from communing with nature or animals. For many, peace will come when your problems are solved—until they are and you become restless about what to do next.
As you can see, having material resources can help you achieve these feelings, but it doesn’t guarantee them. Many wealthy people live in anxiety, while countless souls with very little live in gratitude. Many who create apps to foster connection end up feeling more disconnected than before. Many who fight for peace discover that in their battles, they never achieve it.
So, by all means, enjoy every material resource you create, and create at will! We have no judgments about how much or how little you desire. However, don’t outsource your spiritual qualities to the material world. Beware of worshiping false idols.
Instead, dear ones, acknowledge your basic human desires and work with your own spirit to weave them into your daily lives.
Do you feel alone and disconnected? Perhaps you can do a simple waking meditation: put your bare feet in the grass, close your eyes, and let the sunset warm your face as the breeze gently caresses you. Feel your connection with creation.
Do you feel a sense of bondage to your work or life? Ponder the fact that while you might be obligated to certain circumstances that you find distasteful, you are free to choose your attitude and the beliefs you bring to the situation. You can show up differently and, in return, receive different results. You might feel limited in your external freedom, but as you find your internal freedom, your outer life begins to shift.
Perhaps you don’t feel a sense of self-worth or self-love. Try taking a moment each day to acknowledge one kind or loving thing you thought, did, or said. Catch yourself when you start comparing yourself to others and remind yourself, “I am perfect as is, even as I grow into more.” The mantra of “not good enough” is one you learned and practiced, but you can learn and practice a new one.
Maybe you don’t feel that you love anyone or anything else. You can, however, choose to flow love by loving and accepting yourself. You can be kind to yourself, nurture yourself, and say positive things to yourself. As you continue to love yourself, the desire to love more of the world will grow. You may suddenly want to tidy up a room, thus sharing love with your home. Or you’ll suddenly want to toss some crumbs for the birds, for the sheer pleasure of watching their joy. As you love yourself, your desire to love life around you will naturally arise.
Many of you don’t feel completely self-expressed or acknowledged for your expressions of love. You can remind yourself that self-expression is not about convincing anyone about anything. It is about being comfortable in your own skin, living life as you choose, and communicating in ways that feel authentic to you. The way you prepare your coffee is a form of self-expression. The way you comb your hair is as well. The music you listen to in private is self-expression. Anything and everything you do authentically is a form of self-expression, and you do not need the acknowledgment or approval of anyone else to be you. An interesting thing happens, however: the more comfortable you are being yourself, and the less you need agreement from others, the more you’ll start to magnetize others who love you as you are.
If you find it difficult to see the positive in life, celebrate that you want to change! If you really enjoyed being negative, you’d feel positive about being grumpy! But in admitting that you don’t like this way of being, you are reaching for something better. You are saying, “My old habits don’t work. I want to create new ones.” As you know, changing a habit can take time and effort, but your world is filled with beautiful books and videos on how to do it. Pick any one of them, commit to the process, and you will change even your most ingrained habits.
Many of you long for a deeper spiritual connection. Even this is within reach. Try this simple exercise: tell yourself, “I will pick one thing today and see it with love and appreciation.” In doing so, you begin to connect with the love that lives in all things and all beings.
Dear ones, we want you to have all that you desire. You can create many of your material dreams through work and perseverance, but no matter how much or how little you create, the things you want most live within you. These basic human qualities are within your grasp, right here and right now. The sense of connection, the feeling of freedom, the understanding of self-worth, the capacity for love, the desire to self-express, and the very innate drive to find spiritual connection are wired within each and every one of you, and no material thing, person, or situation can give them to you.
Yes, your material world can make it easier or more difficult for you to discover these things from within. Some of you set yourself up with easy lessons, and some of you created “classrooms” here on earth where you’d have to dive deep to find these qualities. Nonetheless, they live within you. The are facets of the Creator’s love for you. They are part of your essence.
So by all means, manifest or work for whatever you wish to have or experience in this world. We support your every loving desire. But first and foremost, we guide you to the qualities you wish to experience so that you can have happiness now, and the rest can flow into your lives more easily.
For example, if you tell us you cannot rest until you have more money, we entice you to sit and watch a movie you enjoy, as an acknowledgment of your own worthiness. If you say, “no one understands me,” and crave people of like mind, we first guide you to thoughts of knowing how special and precious you are, so you can open to the relationships you desire. We don’t want you to deprive yoruselves of the material things you want. We want to help you find the qualities you wish to experience now, so you become vibrationally resonant with what you want.
You are kings and queens of your personal realms. While you might not have wealth or subjects who cater to your every need, if you cultivate the feelings you desire, the means will come. Surrender to that love within you, and you will feel the truth of your own magnificent spirit. You are emanations of Divine love, learning who and what you truly are—a being of incredible worth and value, a lover of creation, and a creator who once eagerly embraced this adventure of life.
It is our wish for you that you have all that you desire and then some, starting from the inside out, and knowing that no matter how much or little you have, the true wealth, connection, peace, freedom, love, and expression reside within.
God Bless You! We love you so very much.
