Years ago, I was on vacation, standing in a beautiful home, feeling blessed and happy. But soon, uppity thoughts arrived. I started thinking about something that had irritated me recently—and my arm broke out in itchy bumps. That was not acceptable on vacation! I focused on what I wanted to feel instead, and soon, an “energy game” popped into my mind.
Somewhere in that room, in the field of infinite potential, there was a version of me who was perfectly at peace, enjoying her vacation and above irritation. I closed my eyes and began to play. “Where are you?” I asked this joyful version of myself. I walked around the room and imagined stepping into parallel realities—clicking into different versions of myself. I’d stop, feel, and see if this was the “me” I wanted to be. At one point, in a corner looking out tall glass windows with a gorgeous view beyond, I found her. It was just a feeling sense but what a feeling! I felt uplifted, inspired, and beside myself with joy. The irritation was gone. The same room suddenly looked clearer, brighter, and alive with energy. And as I watched, the bumps simply disappeared. Me being me, I giggled and started singing, “Let’s do the time warp again!”
Can we really shift that quickly? Although I haven’t perfected this ability, it’s happened to me on several occasions. Often my feelings and focus are mixed, or wobble between present and desired reality—but when I attune deeply and hold steady, reality shifts in ways beyond 3D logic. I once watched poison oak vanish before my eyes because I “saw” my legs whole and healthy and would think of nothing less. Five minutes later, it was gone.
Before teaching a class, I imagine the feeling of angels filling the room, guiding my words, helping every heart present. I imagine the joyful dinner with friends afterwards and how blessed I am to work with these earth angels. And then it happens, not because I have any special powers, but because I take the time to tune.
Even my former dog understood tuning! When he wanted something, he’d stare at it until he got it. Children are masters at this. They imagine so purely that they feel their wish fulfilled. We can too. It’s just a matter of remembering and practicing, and it is a fun skill to practice.
Last week, I posted a fun picture I made of myself with a dragon. As I tuned into that magical reality for a half hour late one night, while playing with my AI image generator, I entered a realm where I felt the magic. I felt like the benevolent princess who knew how to ride her magical dragon and grant wishes. The next day, I felt magically more empowered to help others. Our playful tuning spills over into real life, creating different versions of ourselves and, therefore, different realities.
Lately, many people are discovering their ability to tune into their dear ones in spirit. This week, I talked to two remarkable women who had lost their loved ones. Within days, they began to sense the presence of their dear ones. Their open hearts allowed them to pick up the signals. Their faith attuned them to presence, not absence. Even through grief, their tuning sustains a bond that transcends dimensions.
Years ago, a nine-year-old friend named Alex demonstrated a remarkable ability to tune. Out of curiosity, he asked me, “How do you be psychic?” I said, “Close your eyes and ask your guide to show you what they look like.” Alex shut his eyes. “Whoa!!!” Excitelyd he told me his guided looked like some superhero from a video game whose name I can’t recall. I instructed Alex to ask his guide a specific question and then share what he heard. In his absolute trust in the process, he nailed the answer. “That’s how you be psychic,” I told him. He hopped off happily, “Cool!”
After that, he approached people at my gatherings with total faith. “Hi! I’m Alex, and I’m psychic. Do you hasve a question for me?” People were so stunned by the quality of his answers that they gave him donations! Alex was so tuned into the reality of being psychic, he was.
So here’s the power of tuning into better realities in the realms of energy, so we can watch them blossom into tangible ones in 3D!
Here are a few pointers to help you when you take time to tune:
1. Who would you be?
Ask, “Who would I be if I had what I wanted?” Would you be more gracious, happier, healthier? Stand taller? Treat yourself better? Be more generous or kind? As you explore who you would be, you’ll know who to be now.
For example, imagine you are happy, healthy, abundant, and loved. Imagine sitting in complete appreciation for your life. Imagine the joy of waking up without a care. Imagine being able to perceive your loved ones in spirit so thoroughly that you cannot doubt their presence.
Imagine that version of yourself—joyful, abundant, at peace—and really feel it. The more you become that person inwardly, the faster reality mirrors it back.
2. Play the positive side of the “what if” game.
When you catch yourself imagining negative outcomes, stop. Ask, “What if the best happens?” Then try to imagine even better.
What if, instead of being late, I arrive in perfect timing?
What if the repair that I dread costs less than expected, and the repair person is an angel in disguise?
What if this seeming insurmountable challenge is the catalyst for healing and growth that will bring me freedom and joy?
As you play the positive side of the “what if” game, you’ll retrain your mind to expect the best, and therefore allow the best to flow into your reality.
3. Write your own fairy tale.
Journal from the perspective of your best future self, looking back, telling the story of how the universe conspired in your favor. Write about the helpful people, the serendipitous events, and the love that guided you. Make it up.
This exercise helps you feel the way this future self will feel. It aligns your energy with the path that brings your desires into being.
While these exercises are playful, they work. As you take time to tune, you become that person. Like my little friend, you can be psychic. Like the ancient masters who focused on being whole and healthy, you can heal. Like people who, out of necessity, had to focus on a reality beyond poverty, you can attract abundance. Imagine it. Feel it. Be it, and soon you’ll see it.
Slowly but surely, we’re learning that we’re not animated lumps of clay struggling through life. We are luminous, energetic beings who can tune into feelings and thus futures. We are learning to use our focus and feelings to select realities from a matrix of infinite possibilities, and thus experience them in 3D.
In the face of the world’s seriousness, it is time to be as a child again, to play, imagine, and trust. As we take time to tune, life becomes lighter, freer, more magical, as you flow gracefully into your own personal version of heaven on Earth.
